Learn how to download your Etsy shop data, including Listings, Orders, and Order Items, for seamless import into ShopStats.ai.
1. Log into Your Etsy Shop
- Go to etsy.com and sign in to your seller account.
- Navigate to your Shop Manager dashboard.
2. Access the Download Options
- In the Shop Manager, select "Settings" and then click on "Options" when the secondary menu pops up.
- In Options, select the "Download Data" tab at the top of the screen.
3. Download Listings File (for Products)
- On the Download Data page, find the "Currently for Sale Listings" section.
- Click on the "Download CSV" button next to "Currently for Sale Listings".
- Save the file to your computer. This will be used to import your products into ShopStats.ai.
4. Download Orders File and Request Order Items File (for Sales)
- Still on the Download Data page, locate the "Sold Orders" section.
- You'll see a dropdown menu next to "Download CSV".
- Select "Orders" from the dropdown and click "Download CSV".
- Save the Orders file to your computer.
- Then, select "Order Items" from the dropdown and click "Download CSV" again.
- Instead of an immediate download, Etsy will email the Order Items file to you.
5. Retrieve the Order Items File from Your Email
- Check the email account associated with your Etsy shop.
- Look for an email from Etsy containing the Order Items CSV file.
- Download the Order Items CSV file from the email and save it to your computer.
6. Verify Your Downloaded Files
- Ensure you have three separate CSV files:
- Listings file (for products)
- Orders file (for sales)
- Order Items file (for sales, retrieved from email)
- Check that each file opens correctly in your spreadsheet application.
Tip: Rename your files to a matching syntax to keep them easily identifiable and organized.
7. Prepare for Import
- Keep these files readily accessible on your computer.
- You'll use the Listings file when importing Products into ShopStats.ai.
- You'll use both the Orders and Order Items files when importing Sales into ShopStats.ai.
Note: Etsy allows you to download data for specific date ranges. If you're importing historical data, make sure to adjust the date range accordingly before downloading.
Tip: It's a good practice to download these files regularly to keep your ShopStats.ai data up-to-date. Consider setting a reminder to export and import your Etsy data on a weekly or monthly basis.
Important: The Order Items file will be sent to your email. Make sure to check your inbox (and spam folder if necessary) for the email containing this crucial file.
